Atlanta Motor Speedway Parking Guide: Where to Park, Parking Map and What It Costs (2026)

The Short Version

Atlanta Motor Speedway parking, in three lines:

Cheapest lot: all of them. The track says fans can park in its grass lots for both NASCAR weekends for free. No pass, no gate fee, no cash.
Pass needed in advance: no, not for general parking. A pass only matters if you want the paid reserved asphalt lot, infield camping or accessible parking.
The one trap: you do not choose your lot. Atlanta runs a forced parking plan, so the highway you approach on decides which lot you land in, and you cannot switch once you are in the funnel.

Where to Park at Atlanta Motor Speedway

First, the name. Atlanta Motor Speedway is now officially EchoPark Speedway, but it is the same 1.54-mile track at 1500 Tara Place in Hampton, Georgia, about 30 miles south of Atlanta on US 19/41. Most fans and most road signs still say Atlanta.

The good news is the part almost no other Cup track can match. Parking in the grass lots is free for both NASCAR weekends. That comes straight off the speedway's own parking page, and it is free for every day of the weekend, not just Sunday.

The catch is that you do not pick your spot. The property runs more than 850 acres, and the track fills it with what it calls a forced parking plan: four color-coded lots ring the facility, and staff direct you into one based on the road you arrive on.

The BLUE lot sits by the main entrance off US 19/41. You get it if you come in northbound on 19/41 and take the main entrance.

The PURPLE lot covers the south and west side of the property. You get it two ways: northbound on 19/41 turning onto Lower Woolsey Road, or coming west on GA Highway 20.

The RED and GREEN lots are on the north side. Southbound traffic on 19/41 turns onto Speedway Boulevard and gets sent into one of these two.

Reserved parking is the one paid option, and it is a real upgrade: an asphalt lot a few feet from the grandstand entrance and next to the Fan Zone, good for the whole weekend. The speedway does not publish a price for it and sells it through a ticket representative, so call the ticket office at 770-946-4211 rather than trusting a resale site.

Three more that are easy to miss. Buses park across from Turn 4 off the Legends Campground. Motorcycles and rideshare both work off Perimeter Road, motorcycles at the Tara Place condos and rideshare pickup at the Speedway condo building directly across from them. And if you drive an EV, charge before you leave home, because the track states it has no charging stations on property.

Do You Need a Parking Pass in Advance at Atlanta?

For general parking on a NASCAR weekend, no. Show up, follow the flaggers, park in the grass. There is nothing to buy and nothing to print.

You need something bought in advance in three cases. Reserved parking in the asphalt lot is sold through a ticket representative. Infield and campground sites are sold as camping packages. Accessible parking requires a credential arranged through the ticket office, covered below.

The rules flip for non-NASCAR events, so know that going in. Georgia State Fair parking is 10 dollars per car on arrival, and Monster Jam is 20 dollars per vehicle online in advance, 5 dollars more on the day. Both are cashless, and so is the rest of the facility, so bring a card or a phone wallet.

Atlanta Motor Speedway Parking Map

The one thing to understand about the Atlanta Motor Speedway parking map is that it is really a traffic map. Your lot is decided before you reach the property, by the direction you are traveling.

Infield, RV and Camping Parking

Atlanta has one of the deeper camping menus in the Cup Series, with its own map for each area: the High Speed Corral, Flock Brothers outside Turns 1 and 2 and Turns 3 and 4, Trackside Turn 1, Trackside Terrace, several RV campgrounds and an Accessible RV campground. Sites run as large as 25 by 50 feet on level gravel, with 50 amp power, water and sewer hookups, a shower house and a fenced off-leash pet area.

The infield is the part with rules worth reading twice. Check-in is at the Main Infield Tunnel on Speedway Boulevard near Turns 1 and 2, where security inspects your vehicle before a supervisor hands over campsite credentials, so bring a photo ID matching the purchaser's name. The tunnel clears vehicles up to 14 feet 6 inches and runs around the clock from 2 p.m. Thursday to 2 p.m. Monday, weather permitting.

Every fan entering the infield needs an infield wristband, and driving out and back during the weekend needs an infield tow pass. The track raises tow pass prices one week before race weekend, so buy early. Flock Brothers camping passes must be affixed to the RV or camper itself or they are void, while High Speed passes attach to your primary vehicle, and that vehicle can come and go.

Accessible Parking and Shuttles at Atlanta

Accessible parking here is not a walk-up. Call the ticket office at 770-946-4211 ahead of time to arrange a credential, then display your state-issued placard or credential at the entrance and staff will direct you.

The lot sits behind the Johnson Grandstand and Club One near Stair Tower 7, in designated reserved spaces inside the Shell Rotella Reserved Lot, and a state-approved accessible plate, hang tag or pass is required. Elevator service to the top of the grandstands runs from Stair Tower 8 off the Johnson Grandstand concourse.

Atlanta also runs golf carts across the property, and starting with the July 2026 race weekend the track rebuilt that service around fans using ADA parking. Pre-race pickups are the ADA parking lot, infield shuttle stop 13, and Gates 12, 13 and 14, where carts run fans up the ramps to the seats. Post-race pickups are infield shuttle stop 13, Stair Tower 8, the information booths at Sections 132, 142 and 153, and Gate 15. Anywhere else, text ECHO to 69050 with your location.

One thing to plan for: the track holds all golf cart activity for up to an hour after the race so pedestrians can clear. Trams run between the campgrounds and the entrance gates until roughly an hour after the Cup race. There is no general shuttle from the free color lots, because those are a walk from the gates rather than a drive.

Getting In and Getting Out

Getting in is simple as long as you sort out your approach before you are in traffic. Northbound US 19/41 sends you to BLUE or PURPLE. Southbound 19/41 onto Speedway Boulevard sends you to RED or GREEN. GA Highway 20 sends you to PURPLE, full stop. Once you are in the line you are committed, so a passenger with the map open beats a last-second lane change.

Getting out is where Atlanta's plan earns its keep. The rule is that you leave in the opposite direction on the same road you came in on, which is what keeps cross traffic from locking the whole property. The BLUE lot is the strict one: everything in it exits the main entrance onto 19/41 southbound and cannot leave any other direction. PURPLE turns left onto Speedway Boulevard toward GA 20 and 19/41. RED and GREEN exit onto Speedway Boulevard, where 19/41 northbound traffic uses the three left lanes and southbound traffic uses the right lane.

Infield campers wait longest. There is a one-hour hold on the main tunnel and the service tunnel after each Cup race, so nobody drives out until it lifts. The speedway does not publish a clear-out time for the fan lots and we are not going to invent one. For live conditions, WSB Radio carries traffic on 95.5 FM and 750 AM, and Georgia DOT runs a free 511 line and 511ga.org.

The Bottom Line

Atlanta is the easy one. Parking is free, there is no pass to remember and nothing to fumble at the gate. All the trip asks is thirty seconds of planning: pick the highway that feeds the lot you want, and know before the race ends that you are leaving the same way you came in. Pay for reserved only if the short asphalt walk is worth it, and call ahead if anyone in your group needs accessible parking, because that one genuinely requires advance work.
