The Short Version
North Wilkesboro Speedway parking, in three lines:
- Cheapest lot: there is no free track lot. Every on-site lot is a paid reserved pass, and the cheapest option is a neighboring private lot off Fishing Creek Road or Speedway Road. The track itself points fans there.
- Pass needed in advance: yes, and this is not a formality. Advance parking has sold out four years running since NASCAR came back in 2023.
- The one trap: every lot is grass. Rain has already forced the track to reroute fans to remote parking on a race Sunday.
Where to Park at North Wilkesboro Speedway
North Wilkesboro Speedway sits at 381 Speedway Lane in the Wilkes County foothills, surrounded by pasture instead of asphalt. There is no paved ring of lots and no free general lot. The track sells three fan lots, all grass, all in advance.
Lot 1, west of the track. Grass, off Speedway Road and Dan Call Road, near Gate 1 and the Fan Zone. Address 200 Dan Call Road. Closest of the three to the midway, which is why it goes first.
Lot 2, northwest of the track. Grass, just off Speedway Road, also near Gate 1 and the Fan Zone. Address 1850 Speedway Road. From US 421 take Speedway Road, Exit 277, west. The lot is on the left.
Lot 5, south across US 421. This one confuses people, because it is on the far side of the highway. The track calls it a short walk across 421 via Fishing Creek Road, and the facility map shows why: a pedestrian bridge feeds you to Entry Gate 3.
Lot 3, Lot 4, VIP and Hospitality. The facility map shows these too, but they are tied to ticket and hospitality packages rather than sold as general fan parking.
North Wilkesboro does not publish a flat price for any lot on its own website. Passes sell through the speedway's Ticketmaster account, priced by lot and by day. Do not trust a dollar figure from a resale site.
Do You Need a Parking Pass in Advance at North Wilkesboro?
Yes. Buy it when you buy your race ticket, not after.
The evidence comes straight from the speedway. On July 18, 2026, the day before the Window World 450, North Wilkesboro announced that reserved seating, camping and advance parking were sold out, the fourth consecutive year since NASCAR returned in 2023. Its parking page said advance parking was at capacity and pointed fans to neighboring properties off Fishing Creek Road and Speedway Road.
That is the whole ballgame. Wilkes County residents open their yards and fields on race weekend, and without a pass that is your plan. It works, it is usually the cheapest way in, and people have done it for decades. It is just not something to discover at 4 p.m. on race day.
North Wilkesboro Speedway Parking Map
The one thing to know about the North Wilkesboro Speedway parking map is which side of US 421 your lot is on, because that decides whether you walk in on the ground or over the bridge.

Infield, RV and Camping Parking
Start with what North Wilkesboro does not have: the official facility map shows no fan parking or camping inside the oval. The infield is racing surface, garage and pit space.
What it does have is trackside camping, the best seat in the county. The facility map marks areas T2, T3 and T4 outside turns two and three, plus Lot A and Lot B on the west side. Sites run roughly 20 feet by 40 feet. Check-in is off CC Jack Combs Drive near Entrance Point E2, and campers route around the back of the track, not through the fan lots.
Booking is the hard part. Camping has sold out four straight years, and for the 2027 NASCAR weekend the speedway is not selling sites yet at all. It is running a waitlist, so get on it rather than waiting for a sale date.
Tailgating is allowed in the lots inside your own space, fire lanes kept open, pop-up tents collapsed when you leave the vehicle. Golf carts are not allowed inside the spectator gates.
Accessible Parking and Shuttles at North Wilkesboro
North Wilkesboro marks two accessible lots on its facility map, on opposite corners of the property, so pick by the side you arrive from.
Lot 4-A is the wheelchair-accessible lot, just south of Lot 4 at Entrance Point E4. The track publishes its address as 3337 Fishing Creek Road, calls the space limited, and requires a state-issued ADA placard.
Lot 1-A also carries the accessible symbol, off Speedway Lane between Lot 1 and the Fan Zone. That is the shorter walk from the Dan Call Road side.
Accessible space here is genuinely limited, so arrive early rather than counting on a spot. North Wilkesboro has run fan assistance shuttles on the property but warned that poor lot conditions can put some areas out of their reach, which matters if someone in your group cannot manage soft ground.
There is no standing general fan shuttle from the on-site lots, because they are close enough to walk. Remote parking with a free shuttle was used once, in 2024, when four inches of rain in two hours pushed Lot 1 pass holders to Wilkes Community College.
Getting In and Getting Out
Arrive early, and mean it. For the 2026 Window World 450, a 7 p.m. green flag, the lots opened at 12:30 p.m. and the Fan Zone at 1 p.m., and the track asked fans to carpool. Hours shift by event, but the pattern holds: gates open hours ahead, and the fans who use that window are not the ones sitting on Speedway Road.
Navigate by address, not by track name. The speedway recommends entering your lot by name in Waze, because "North Wilkesboro Speedway" routes you to the front gate instead of your lot.
Getting out is easier here than at a superspeedway for one reason: everything empties onto US 421, a four-lane divided highway, not a single county road. North Wilkesboro publishes no clear-out estimate and we are not going to invent one. Lot 5 has the different problem, and it is the walk rather than the drive, since that crowd bunches at the one pedestrian bridge.
