Texas Motor Speedway Parking Guide: Where to Park, Parking Map and What It Costs (2026)
Part of Happy Hour Racing's NASCAR Track Parking Guides - where you park, what it costs and how you get out.
The Short Version
- Cheapest lot: free. Most Texas Motor Speedway parking costs nothing.
- Pass needed in advance: not for the free lots. Preferred Parking needs a pass, and all parking is cashless.
- The one trap: your entrance can move on NASCAR weekend. Staff can send you in by Foyt Drive or Rutherford Road instead of Petty Place.
Where to Park at Texas Motor Speedway
Texas Motor Speedway parking is simple, because the default option is free. The traffic maps split the west side lots by seat section, so check your ticket first.
- General Parking South - free. Unpaved, for Sections 101-149 and Gates 4-7.
- General Parking North - free. Unpaved, for Sections 401-449 and Gates 2-4.
- Dirt Track Lot - free. Paved, across Lone Star Circle from the backstretch grandstand, with a tram stop at Gate 9.
- Preferred Parking - price not published. Directly across from Gates 1-7. Sold as a weekend or Sunday pass.
- Express and Crystal lots - paid, price not published. South of the speedway, off Victory Circle.
- Pit Stop Park - pass required, price not published. A tailgating area near Gates 3 and 4.
The track's own pages show no dollar figure for any paid lot. Express, Crystal and Pit Stop Park are on the directions page but not the 2027 race parking page, so call 817-215-8500 to see if they are on sale.
Do You Need a Parking Pass in Advance at Texas?
Not for the free lots. For Preferred Parking, buy from the official race parking page. The track does not say whether passes are sold at the gate or how fast they sell out, so do not count on a race-day purchase. Bring a card, since the property is cashless with no ATMs.
Plan for a crowd. The track announced that reserved grandstand seating sold out for the May 3, 2026 WÜRTH 400, and the race returns May 2, 2027.
Texas Motor Speedway Parking Map
This is the track's own facility diagram. Light blue is Preferred Parking, gold is handicap parking, and the gray and yellow blocks are the Express and Crystal lots. The free west side lots sit beyond Preferred Parking and are not shaded here. The outbound map below shows them.
Infield, RV and Camping Parking
The race camping page lists three options, with no prices printed. The Infield Campground runs from Turn 2 to Turn 3, with Paddock spots in Turns 1 and 4 and a 13-foot height limit. The VIP Campground has paved 20x45 full hookup spots near the main grandstand. Lone Star Circle is dry camping on 30x40 grass spots outside Turn 3, with tram service.
The infield itself is limited to fans with a track pass and infield campers. Personal golf carts are banned, even street-legal ones.
Accessible Parking and Shuttles at Texas
The 2027 race parking page lists disabled parking in its free parking block, at the front of the Preferred Parking Lot with a valid placard or license plate. The facility map also marks handicap spaces at the top of the Express Lot and near Gate 9. The camping page lists 217-867-3267 as the ADA shuttle text line.
- Yellow Parking Lot Tram: stops at The Speedway Club, Gates 2, 4 and 6, Gate 9 and the VIP Campground. The VIP route stops with 75 laps remaining, but after the race all trams make all stops.
- Green Campground Tram: serves Lone Star Circle.
- Golf cart shuttles: free, with blue canopies, from one hour before gates open to one hour after the last checkered flag.
The tram map shows no stop inside the free west side lots, so plan to walk or flag down a cart.
Getting In and Getting Out
The track says to arrive at least two hours before the race starts. The directions page has Waze links for each lot. From Denton, the inbound map uses I-35W Exit 72 to Dale Earnhardt Way. From Dallas, take Texas 114 west to Labonte Lane or Championship Parkway. From Decatur, take Texas 114 east to Jarrett Drive. On FM 156, go straight in on Petty Place. Rideshares use Lone Star Circle near Labonte Lane.
Leaving, Rutherford Road and Dale Earnhardt Way go to I-35W north, Stewart Street and Victory Circle go to Texas 114 east or I-35W south, Foyt Drive goes to Texas 114 west, and Petty Place goes to FM 156. The track publishes no clear-out time, so plan on a wait. Tailgating after the race is encouraged and lets the roads thin out.
