The Short Version

Talladega Superspeedway parking, in three lines:

  • Cheapest lot: free. The track says the large majority of its day parking costs nothing, spread across the North Lot and the E and W lots on both sides of the property.
  • Pass needed in advance: not for free parking. Preferred Lots A through E need a pass, which you can buy ahead or on site during race weekend. VIP lots need a VIP pass.
  • The one trap: race-day traffic patterns shift as the day goes on. The track tells fans to use its lot-by-lot Waze links instead of a standard map app.

Where to Park at Talladega Superspeedway

Talladega Superspeedway parking is the easiest money question on the Cup schedule, because most of it is free. The track sits on Speedway Boulevard, which runs alongside I-20. Coming from Birmingham, it is about 40 miles east at Exit 168. From Atlanta, it is about 95 miles west at Exit 173.

The track sorts parking into four types, plus suite parking:

  • Free parking - the North Lot, Lots 1E and 2E, Lot 3E off Flag Avenue, Lot 4E off South Park Boulevard, Lots 1W through 4W, Lot 8W, Lot 9W off West Boulevard and Lot 10W off Allen Road.
  • Preferred parking, Lots A through E - pass required. These sit along Jackson Trace and Talladega Trail, south of the frontstretch, so the walk is shorter.
  • VIP Lots I, II, III and 4 - VIP pass required. They are right behind the grandstands. Enter at the main entrance at Speedway Boulevard and North Boulevard and follow the road to the lot marked VIP parking.
  • ADA Lots 1, 3 and 4 - covered in the accessible parking section below.
  • Suite parking - a reserved area for suite holders, suite pass required.

What it costs: the free lots cost nothing. Talladega does not print a price for preferred or VIP parking on its parking page, its FAQ or its event pages. We will not repeat third-party numbers the track has not published, so check the price at checkout or call 877.Go2.DEGA (877-462-3342).

Going to the Talladega Garage Experience from outside the track? The track says to park in Lots 2E or 3E outside the Turn 4 Tunnel and ride the Blue Line tram in.

Do You Need a Parking Pass in Advance at Talladega?

For free parking, no. Drive in and park.

For preferred parking, the track says you can buy it in advance or during race weekend on site. Buying ahead is the safer play on a Sunday Cup race, since the track does not promise on-site availability. VIP lots, suite parking and the reserved ADA lots all need a pass or tag that comes with your ticket package.

Talladega Superspeedway Parking Map

This is the track's own 2026 fall facility map, which doubles as the parking map. Tan blocks are free day parking, red is preferred parking, green is VIP, and the blue outlines are ADA lots.

Read it like this. I-20 and Speedway Boulevard run up the left side. The E lots sit between Speedway Boulevard and Turns 3 and 4. The W lots cluster around North Boulevard and the Hall of Fame, with 10W way down at the bottom off Allen Road. The red preferred lots are south of the frontstretch, and the green VIP lots sit right behind the grandstands.

Infield, RV and Camping Parking

Talladega is a camping track first. Three campgrounds outside the track, North Park, South Park and West Park C, are free with your Sunday Cup Series ticket. Reserved outside campgrounds include West Park A and B, Pecan Grove, East Park and the hookup sites along Legend's Lane, Winner's Walk and Champion's Corner. The price for a reserved spot covers your whole stay, up to seven nights outside the track.

Outside campgrounds open Monday morning of race week, with staging starting the Saturday before. The infield loads through Tunnel 3, which opens at 10:00 AM on Wednesday of race week, with staging from 8:00 AM. If you show up early, the track says to wait in one of the free campgrounds. Campground gates are open 24 hours.

Accessible Parking and Shuttles at Talladega

Talladega has three ADA lots:

  • ADA Lot 1 - next to Legend's Village near the O.V. Hill South Tower. Reserved for guests with ADA wheelchair-accessible seating, who get a TSS ADA Parking reserved car tag.
  • ADA Lot 3 - behind the O.V. Hill North Tower and Tri-Oval Tower. Also reserved for ADA seating guests, with a limited number of spaces for sale at 877-462-3342.
  • ADA Lot 4 - near Entrance Plaza 1. Free and first come, first served with a state-issued disabled plate or placard. The track says it fills very quickly on race days.

The permit holder must be in the vehicle, and law enforcement monitors the ADA lots.

The ADA shuttle is a free golf cart service from marked pick-up spots, for the guest and one companion. No tipping. It is suspended for 45 minutes right after the race while crowds clear, so plan for that wait.

Everyone else gets free trams. The Pink tram runs from Lot 10W to Jackson Trace near the preferred lots. The Brown tram serves the North Park area. The Purple and Orange trams run from Legend's Lane to the Fan Zone and outside Turn 1. Purple, Orange and Brown do not run after the race, so do not count on them to get back to your car.

Getting In and Getting Out

The track says to arrive four to five hours early. For a 3:00 PM race, that means pulling in between 10:00 and 11:00 AM. General parking opens early each morning, and beating the midday rush gets you a spot closer to your gate. Re-entry is allowed all day by scanning your ticket.

Snap a photo of the nearest light pole, row marker or lot sign before you walk in. The property is huge, and the lots all look alike after a long day.

Going home, Talladega does not publish a clear-out time or a forced exit route. Its advice is to use the Waze link for your lot, because routing changes through the day. If you need help on site, text TSSFAN plus your issue and location to 627227.
