The Short Version

  • Cheapest lot: free. General parking in the grass lots costs nothing.
  • Pass needed in advance: not for the free lots. Paid Lots 1-5 need a physical hangtag, listed at $40 for the May 9, 2027 race.
  • The one trap: the I-435 exit at State Avenue. Officials close it when traffic backs up, so have Parallel Parkway or I-70 ready.

Where to Park at Kansas Speedway

Kansas Speedway parking comes down to one choice: free grass lots farther out or paid grass lots closer in.

  • General parking - free. First come, first served. By our reading of the map, these are the light blue lots numbered 10-14, 16 and 18, west of California Drive. The track does not list them by number.
  • Lots 1-5 - $40. Closest to the grandstands, for Sunday, May 9, 2027. The track's FAQ still says $35, but the live buy page says $40. Checkout fees are not shown.
  • Lot 6 - price not published. The map marks it pass required, but the buy page only names Lots 1-5.

The track publishes no walking times. On the map, Lots 1-6 sit just across Daytona Drive from the gates, and the free lots start past California Drive, so expect a longer walk.

The track warns against parking south of Speedway Boulevard, and at the Legends shopping area you cannot cross State Avenue until traffic clears.

Do You Need a Parking Pass in Advance at Kansas?

Not for the free lots. Lots 1-5 need a physical hangtag, since Kansas Speedway issues no digital parking passes. Season ticket packages include them. Everyone else can buy while supplies last. Passes are mailed up to 3 weeks before the race, and after that you buy in person.

One catch: the official parking page has a banner saying upgraded parking can only be bought in person at the box office, 400 Speedway Blvd, while the race page still has a buy link. Call 866-460-7223 before you count on either. When we checked, the buy page listed only the May 9 Cup race. The track gives no sellout date, so do not wait. Bring a card, since the ticket office is cashless.

This is the track's own facility map. Dark blue is pass-required Lots 1-6, light blue is the general lots and pale yellow is ADA Overflow Lot 7. Entry gates on State Avenue close from east to west as lots fill.

Infield, RV and Camping Parking

The parking pages list no infield day parking. The spring camping page shows Richmond, Phoenix, Martinsville, Daytona Blue, Daytona White and Tent campgrounds outside the gates, plus Reserved Infield and four Terraces inside. All four Terraces show sold out with a waitlist for spring 2027.

Site prices are not printed on the campground pages. The fall 2026 camper packet lists Infield admission at $140 and Terrace at $160. Lot 25 is overnight parking for campers only, listed at $57 on the buy page.

Accessible Parking and Shuttles at Kansas

Designated ADA parking is first come, first served. Bring your ADA plate or permit, matching ID and your state-issued card or paperwork, and staff direct you to the ADA lots. If they fill, you go to nearby unpaved lots. Wheelchair ticket holders get an extra pass for the designated lot. The buy page lists ADA parking at $0.

  • Guest Services golf carts: for guests who do not use wheelchairs. Stop at a red and white tent along California Drive. After the race, carts take you to a tent, not your car.
  • ADA assisted vans: for guests in wheelchairs, dropping at Gates A and C. After the race, they take you directly to your vehicle.
  • Trams: stop at the Blue Lot, Richmond, Park and Ride, the Infield, Turn 4 and the plaza by Gate C. The infield requires a credential.

The fall 2026 packet ran all three from 8 AM to 6 PM on race day, with a 2 PM green flag. For a late ride, call Guest Services at 913-328-5100.

Getting In and Getting Out

The track says to arrive 2 to 3 hours before the race. In fall 2026, lots opened at 8 AM on race day.

  • From I-70: take Exit 410 at 110th Street to Speedway Boulevard and Talladega Drive.
  • From east of I-435: take State Avenue west and use all lanes.
  • From I-435: take I-70 west to Exit 410. If the State Avenue exit closes, use Parallel Parkway, go left on 110th Street and follow the route back to State Avenue.

Rideshares and hotel shuttles use the Transportation Plaza near Gate C.

Leaving, the map shows outbound arrows to State Avenue and Speedway Boulevard, and attendants direct traffic. The track publishes no clear-out time, so plan on a wait. The map flags Hollywood Casino as a post-race stop.

How much is parking at Kansas Speedway?

General parking is free. Lots 1-5 are $40 for May 9, 2027 on the buy page, though the track's FAQ still says $35.

Do you need a parking pass for Kansas Speedway?

Not for the free lots. Lots 1-5 need a physical hangtag, and digital passes are not allowed.

Is there free parking at Kansas Speedway?

Yes. General parking in the grass lots is always free.

Where is accessible parking at Kansas Speedway?

In the designated ADA lots, with an ADA plate or permit, matching ID and state paperwork. Staff direct you there.

How long does it take to get out of Kansas Speedway after the race?

The Bottom Line

Kansas Speedway parking is free if you show up early and take the grass. Pay for Lots 1-5 only if the shorter walk is worth it, and have a backup for I-435.

Our Kansas Speedway Fan Guide covers the bag policy and what to carry in.

Lot names, prices and pass rules change. This comes from the track's own pages and maps, checked in November 2026. They disagree on the Lots 1-5 price and how to buy, so confirm on the official parking page or at 866-460-7223.
